Can you make a canvas out of my cell phone picture?
Yes! Most cell phones today take wonderful photos that can be printed onto canvas with excellent results.
How do I know if my photos will work on a canvas?
I am happy to help with that! You can either email me or text me your photos and I will let you know how large they can be printed and still look crisp. Contact me here
to get started.
How do I get my photo to you?
If you have a digital file, you can send it to me here. Be sure to include your contact information and send the highest resolution of photo that you have.
If you have an actual photograph, you can scan it in and send it to me via email or text. Or, if you need help with that, you can mail the photo to me and I will do that part for you. Only do this, though, if you have a quality copy of the photo in case it should get lost or damaged in the mail.
How much do you charge for a custom canvas?
There is no additional charge for custom work. Simply choose the size of print that you want and that will be your finished price (excluding sales tax and shipping). Custom canvas prices can be found on this page
and also in each design listing.
How long does it take for my canvas to be made?
Not long at all. Once you approve your proof I can have your canvas ready in 1-2 business days. If you're in hurry, let me know and I will see if I can rush it through for you.
These look like wooden signs. Are they?
They look like wood, but they are canvas. When I'm at shows, people regularly walk up to my designs and touch them because they look so much like wood. The wood grain background is just part of my design and adds texture and interest to the print.
Where are your canvases made?
Each canvas is lovingly printed and framed by hand in Minnesota. All of the materials for the prints are either made in America or Canada.
Can I hang my canvas outside?
These canvases are intended for indoor use only. They are pretty durable but are not made from outdoor-resistant materials.
Will my canvases fade?
Each canvas is printed on professional quality acid-free and lignin-free canvas with pigment inks to provide superior resistance to fading. I have tested canvases by placing them in direct sunlight for over three months at a time with no visible sign of fading, even when compared to a newly printed canvas.
Do you take all the photos?
All the photos on my designs are either mine or Jody Doll's. She is a talented nature photographer and friend who contributes her images. Check out My Story for more information. You can also read about a fun photo adventure the two of us took together here.
Will you use my photos for anything else?
Absolutely not. You may hear about printing sites that resell designs using their customers' photos without permission, but I do not do that. Your photos are your property and I respect that. From time to time I may ask for permission from a customer to feature their design on social media or on my blog to showcase my custom work, but I do so only with permission. Your photos are safe with me.
Do you do other design work?
I sure do. I've done wedding invitations, store signage, holiday cards and more. If you have a project you'd like me to do, I'd love to hear from you. Contact me here
and we can talk.
