Do you have people on your list that are hard to buy for? If you're looking for gift ideas this holiday season, here's a list of the top selling canvas prints that people have ordered from me to give as gifts. You just might find an idea to make your holiday shopping a little easier, especially for those hard to shop for people in your life.
Pet Photos
People love their pets. You'd be amazed by the number of orders I received for pet canvases last year. You should have seen all the cute photos! Check out this canvas I designed for one customer with photos of her family's beloved dogs:
Boyfriends, Girlfriends and Best Friends
This category was especially popular with teens. Many of them sent me the selfies they'd taken with their boyfriend, girlfriend or best friend and had them made into canvases for gifts. What a fun way to treasure the memories of those good times!
This canvas was given by a friend of mine to her daughter. This beautiful photo was taken by Jennifer Christi Photo and I turned it into a sentimental canvas her daughter will always treasure.
Hobbies, Sports and Interests
Does your hard to shop for person have a hobby or passion? Do they play a sport, drive a motorcycle or love the outdoors? Chances are they have a favorite photo that shows them in action or represents their interest. Tuning in to what they love best and creating a canvas with their photos is a thoughtful way to show them you care this holiday season.
Hunting photos make fantastic canvas prints and are a popular gift idea for hunters. They are much less expensive than having a shoulder mount made and still give the hunters a chance to show off their trophies and cherish the memories.
1,000 Words
A picture is worth 1,000 words, but sometimes all you need is the words to get your point across. Many customers have me create canvases featuring a favorite Bible verse, quote or family name. You don't even need a photo, just a special message you want to capture.
The next canvas print is the perfect example of this. My customer had a cherished note that her grandmother had written to her mother. It reads, "Dearest Deb, Have a wonderful day. Love you to the moon and back. Mom." She had me create a canvas from this note to give as a Mother's Day gift to her mom. Imagine how special that gift was to her mother!
Children and Grandchildren
There is nothing that parents and grandparents love more than their beloved children. If you're not sure what to buy for them this holiday season, find a special picture of their little ones to put on canvas.
The canvas we're giving to my father-in-law for Christmas this year has a special story behind it. When my boys were little, anytime they'd wear a plaid shirt, especially red and black plaid, they'd call it a "Grandpa Henry shirt" because that's what he always wears. So this year, at my niece's suggestion, we photographed all of his grandsons together wearing their Grandpa Henry shirts and made a special canvas for him. I can't wait to see his face when he opens it. (I'm pretty sure he doesn't read my blog but if you see him before Christmas don't ruin the surprise!)
Lake Canvases
My business was founded on lake photography, so it's no surprise that personalized lake canvases were one of my best sellers last year. People love photos of their lake to hang in their homes and cabins. That makes them perfect gift ideas for people who love the lake. You can also add the name of their lake and the year they moved there for an extra special personalized touch.
Farm Canvases
And finally, my best selling category last Christmas was personalized farm canvas prints. They make excellent gift ideas for farmers, fathers, grandfathers and grandparents. I was privileged to see some beautiful farm photos including the one below. For the families, the canvas prints were special keepsakes created to honor the farmers in their family and their family tradition of farming.
Thank you to all who have asked me to make personalized canvases the past few years. I'm honored to work with your photos and blessed to be able to make keepsakes for your home and for your friends and family.
